Latin music heaven this weekend!

The Night Cat (137 Johnston St, Fitzroy) will be synced up with the Johnston St Hispanic Fiesta this weekend, November 18-19, 2016, putting on a festival of its own.

The Night Cat's parallel universe of latin music

As if there won't be enough live music in the Johnston St Fiesta, The Night Cat – also in Johnston St, just a jump from the fiesta crowds – is loading up three nights with latin dance, music – and of course, music to get down.

They've made it really hard for us to decide which night to go. There's hip-hop-funk (LABJACD), psych-salsa-son (San Lazaro), afro-latin (Son Veneno) – plus the bonus Red & Black Brasilian carnival party on Friday November 18.

We love the Night Cat – it's a great room to see live music, especially with its new sound system. Not only that, the new management and fun team still have a commitment to Latin music on Sundays.

  • You can't do better than this school! It's a very well organised school. They have so many levels you will find the right class for you. Great teachers, fun and just the right amount of challenge.

  • After becoming frustrated at my lack of progress with their competitor, I received a recommendation for the classes at El Patio. Since enrolling I have never looked back.

    Angela, Lower Intermediate 2
  • I never shut up about how much I like my classes, pretty sure my colleagues and all my friends are getting sick of hearing about it.

  • The teachers are welcoming and seem to love what they do, which brings passion to each class. The homework and resources are highly organised and professional. I would highly recommend El Patio Spanish
