A New CBD Centre from Term 4 starting October 7!
From Term 4 (October 7), El Patio CBD will be moving to a gorgeous new centre in Druid's House, 1/407 Swanston St, Melbourne CBD (opposite RMIT Library and approximately 400 meters from our current centre). We can't wait for you to see it!
While the Little Lonsdale St centre has been a wonderful home to us for over a decade, keen observers will have noticed that, over the years, the streetscape has changed completely. From being nestled between a little church and some old buildings like ours, we’re now surrounded by skyscrapers! 152 Little Lonsdale is the last building of it’s kind on the street, and market forces beyond El Patio’s control have determined that it’s time for that to change.
Druids House
The new centre will be located in Druid’s House a heritage-listed landmark of Melbourne built in the 1920’s.
Druid's House began life as headquarters for the Druids Friendly Society. Built in 1926 and styled in the ”Greek Revival” manner, it houses an original entry foyer with terrazzo and tiled floors, three-colour Buchan marble and ornate metalwork. The interior of the building has a high level of integrity and finish. The entry into Druid's House is by marble stairs and quiet mirror-walled lift.

The new centre is currently getting a fresh, colourful makeover, and we can’t wait to show you the result next term!
All CBD classes will continue to be held at 2/152 Little Lonsdale St for the remainder of Term 3 (up to September 26, 2024).
The Northcote centre is unaffected by this change and will remain in its current location for many years to come.
